Howdy all,

just did the maiden yesterday on my new LR-1a pogo.....whew, what a slick, fast machine. I was a little worried about it stalling out on the base to final turn, so I kept the speed up on my 1st approach and landing.

With the warmer temps, there is some big patches of grass showing at the field but also a few ice patches etc....

Here is my setup:

Power 25 - 870 kv
eflite 60A speed controller
4s - 4000mAh lipo pack
8x8 prop

I put this setup on a meter and it was developing 500 watts at 31amps.

It was ok, but I found slow to accelerate on takeoff....but overall speed very fast.

My new setup is:

Same motor and speed controller as above
new 4s - 4000mAh nano
11x8 prop

WHEW---> now developing 760watts at 51amps

Wish me luck now-----> STay tuned.....have to test fly it the next nice day!

Congrats. on the maiden. Now you're going to have to find someone to race against & a smooth place to land.

Cool! Congrats on your successful maiden.

Those are some interesting stats regarding your power setup combinations. It should be interestuing to see hwo the new setup flies!

Congrads!! The Eflite Pogo is a great flyer, have been flying one all last summer, over thirty some flights, as being an old pylon racer my set up is for pylon racing.

Set up is
Turnigy 3542 1250kv motor
60 amp. ESC
4s 2650 battery
8x6E APC prop

I haven't done any watts and amps testing yet, plan to do some this summer.
Also have built a Lil Toni and a Nemeise, which where flown with the Eflite Power 1250kv motors, all great flying planes.
Hope to get some people interested in Electric F1 pylon.
Anyone interested or wants info on where to purchase kits or the new ARF's can PM me.

Yes, on my orig setup off 500watts.....and a 8x8 prop, it flew ok....but I think with my new 760watt setup, she's gonna fly MUCH much better.

Hope this snow melts soon!
