making money on a sale is not a crime, at least not in Canada. However I prefer not to state untruths (cant be sure, as the original post was edited..) and if the arf was not purchased from the company why state it was? Doesnt make sense and if you get a bad rep on a "small" tight nit group like here on RCC making a few extra $$'s is not worth it.... IMO.

If the seller stated he did buy the ARF right from the company, that was wrong. I too would be a bit upset, even if in the end I still got a deal.

I hope the plane is OK now.

Aeroworks 33% Edge 540T ARF NIB

Guys, in my own defence here and to protect my reputation as a seller , I would like to state that I have never claimed to be the original owner of this kit and no one has ever asked if I was, if they did I would have told them otherwise.

The ad. states how much it would cost to bring it into Ontario and to the best of my knowlege is correct.

Fred, has posted that there is a problem with the kit but, has not yet shared what was repaired or replaced. We both inspected the kit thoroughly and it was in mint condition and in factory sealed bags. This was a pick up deal- I did not ship the kit.

If there was a problem that we overlooked , I would have made it right with him but, I have not been given that opportunity.

I recognize that there could be "fit" problems with any ARF that can not be forseen but, I can asure everyone that the parts were perfect NIB

As for the price that I paid for it, well, that was between me and the seller.

I will say that the assumption that I paid $700usd is not correct.

Fred and I agreed on a purchase price and I though he was happy with the deal until I read this post.

Sincerely,

Mike

Mike, if you did not explicitly tell anyone (or post) that you were the original buyer, then I see no problem. Like I said, if you got the kit for $200 you are not obliged to pass on the bargain to anyone else. You posted your asking price and the buyer agreed.

I only had an issue whether or not you had originally posted that you did get the kit right from the factory. Since the post was edited, only you know what was there.

Like I said, if someone assumed that you bougth it right from AW that is not your problem.

I hope the guy in the end likes the plane and you have your $$ - thats the main thing.

The fact that you would have "made it right" concerning any problem with the kit (that the buyer has not yet shared with you) shows that you are fair. I dont know what else to say, maybe he figured since you got it cheaper than factory cost he should have also gotten a better deal? Irrelevant, and like you said as long as the arf was like new and accurately described, revealing your buying price is not a requirement for resale...

Aeroworks 33% Edge 540T ARF NIB- DEAL PENDING

Hi Fred,

U are absolutely right! The kit should be as advertised. I was not aware of any repair to this kit. It appeared to be factory sealed to me. I was the one who opened the fuse and wing package to inspect. When I got it they were both sealed.

Is the kit still " NIb" or have u done some work to it. If " new" I will refund your money fully.

If u have done some work to it and would like to keep it anyway, let me know how much u think the "repair" to be worth $

Wish u had contacted me first Fred, I have no intention of ripping u off, $1500 bucks is not worth that to me!

Let me know what u would like to do.

I'll be out this afternoon, but will be home this evening and tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Mike

I think to make this right; you should offer to have this problem repaired at your cost!
Seeing as the kit was sold as "new in box", that sounds reasonable.

Just my opinion.

I think it should have been kept between the buyer and seller. I hope that if I ever sell anything to anyone and that person is not happy with the purchase that I will have the opportunity to make it right before I get blasted on a public forum.

Just my opinion.
