ARCC Onroad Racing is Coming Back

I just wanted to post this now to generate some interest and try to be able to accommodate some feedback for the upcoming season.

Last year was a write off for me so this year I would like to try and make up for it. Dave Iver and myself are working hard to bring onroad racing in the Maritimes to a new level with bi-weekly racing.

So far an area has not been picked but I can tell you that we are looking at Go Kart tracks and tennis courts, we definitely want a place that will help showcase the speed and the handling of these cars, I will also say that the track will be sprayed for traction.

The classes that we will be hosting this year will be

1/10th touring using RTR’s as well as pro level cars
1/10th LeMans class that will include 200 and 235mm cars with lola type bodies
:GRIN:AND of course 1/8th open. This is the class that you ask yourself “how fast do I dare go”

We are also thinking about an exhibition race in Moncton NB at the beginning of the season to help generate some interest for onroad racing. I would also be open to other areas for exhibition races.

As this series develops news and events will be posted on the MRCR site

Please leave your comments and or suggestions here or e-mail me.
I know there is another club forming called EastCan Racing so maybe we could work together to help build the onroad classes.
