Ditto on Bax Global. I used them to ship from Atlanta to Toronto. It shipped overnight, I brokered it myself. A good deal.

Re: Shipping from US

There is a Forward Air terminal in Toronto, cheapest shipping you'll likely find. Since the deal didn't go through it's not a big issue now, but for large packages Forward Air is a great deal. Unfortunately, the only forward air terminal in Canada is in Toronto. I've used it to ship from New Jersey to Seattle, had to drive to Seattle to pick up, but it was under $100 for a 90" x 36" x 20" box. Pretty reasonable.

Re: Shipping from US

Can anybody help with a certain place across the border( preferably Niagara), which can be used to ship, and pick up from there?

Thank you

Re: Shipping from US

It's called US postal address, located just across the Queenstom Lewiston bridge to the US first exit (Witmer RD) going towards Niagara Falls New York. Follow the signs to the State Troopers station it's just across the street. They charge $5.00 US per shipment.
usaddress (usaddress@wny.twcbc.com)
usaddress@adelphia.net
My original email was to the second address the reply came back on the first.

Re: Shipping from US

I had a repaired turbine shipped to me from JetCat USA in California last Friday via UPS Expedited. The cost was $95 which included the brokerage fees at the border. The engine showed up at our business 'ship to' address in Edmonton at 2:30 Tuesday PM in spite of the fact that it was a long weekend in most of the country.

Regular freight would have been $42 so another $40 or so to have UPS do the import paperwork is a good deal. It would not have been any less than that using our own brokers at our attractive discounted rate.

I may have saved $40 or so to ship by mail but that comes with its' own set of challenges as well at times.

In short, good on UPS, the package arrived as promised, right on time for a reasonable cost in my opinion.

Re: Shipping from US

I just tried to get Tower Hobbies (who are great if you pick up across the border) to send me a $3 item by regualr mail, they would not budge from their shipping policy at a cost of $19.60 by mail to Canada, I emailed twice to say this perhaps could be changed. No luck. Ordered the same item shipped to my US pickup and cost $3.60. (s&h) Same item ordered from www.hobbycity.com s&h around $3.00
Hopmeup has been great to deal with, even if shipped to Canada. It would be interesting to compile a list of Canada friendly shippers, just so we know. There are some great ones.
