G26 Gasket problem ?

I was at the field the the other day and a friend was having troubles with his new G26 . He has installed the orange carb back plate. On the gasket that goes in between the carb and the backplate the vacuum holes didn't line line up. We are wondering if this is common or mabe he got the wrong gasket. Once we made a hole for the vacuum the motor ran fine. Any body else have this problem. ?

Not all wallbrow carburator gaskets are all the same. In many outdoor power equipment i found that each application are similar but not always lining up with the actual hole opening on the carburator body. Glad you thaught to check this out yourselfs. Not always obvious. To make my point short, Evert time you install a new or modified carburator or intake adaptor you make sure the crankcase pressure vaccum hole is free from obstruction otherwise NO PUMP!!!

thanks I didnt actually find it i was teaching some one to fly at the time. The motor ran well but when lifted vertical it quit. Weird for a gas motor. so they took the carb off and saw the hole was missing and we drill the hole it ran perfect. turning a 18-6 at 8000pm. He is going to try a diffrent prop and bring the rmps down a bit.
