Float Flying at Comox Lake
Well, it was no Shuswap with only 5 of us showing up, but it was still a lot of fun. We probably would have had more people, but the day started with driving rain and 50mph winds. At noon we decided to head out and see what the weather was going to do, as it was forecast to improve. As we arrived, the rain stopped, the wind died, and the clouds parted to let the sun through! Much fun was had. I put a dozen or so flights on my trusty Twin Otter that afternoon. Here's some video from the day. The first one was shot from my airplane with an HD Key Chain camera. I made a rotatable mounting so that I can turn the camera through 180 degrees. The second video is shot mostly from the ground by a buddy of mine. I hope we get to do it again!

Wow does that bring back memories I learned to fly off floats there in the late 70s. Granted we flew on the other side of the lake though. Great video
