Still working on my '85 RC10 gold pan. You would never believe how hard it is to find a turn buckle kit for this beast. Even my LHS could'nt find anything in stock that would work from any mfr.

I think Dubro makes some that you can cut to length, but they aren't very strong.

....sooo.... BikerBob will you still be attending this vintage race? depsite your dislike for the track conditions?

Well Ron, as they say..

Beats a kick in the head.

The track is what it is, as so many like to say.. I like to race the vintage because it is pure fun, and I really am not competitive with this.. more just to show off that my old stuff can still run.

SO YES, I will be out.. only with my truck (as backup if we dont get enough for vintage) and I am hoping my JRx2 with original body

I think my years of road racing is where my re-action to the track comes from. I like a track thats laid out.. then we can run it.. get better at it.. learn that corner and perfect your driving of it.

AND .. I am frustrated with the amount of rock and stone.. which I am sure everyone is.. I am just loud and obnoxious about it. sorry again.

Now that Fastcats has closed, and if it will not re-open any time soon, I think I will be putting a lot of my stuff up on Ebay soon. OR maybe I keep all the Touring car stuff till I can run it in 10 years time at the next onroad place to open up.

Oh ya, what motors are we running?

Good to hear that you are coming out James, I hope people don't take this vintage racing too serious, I'm just coming to have some fun as well, hopefully some people will bring thier vintage rides just to show off too, I plan a bringing a few that aren't runners, but just to show them off

Hmmm thats weird, I thought I posted a reply to this last night.

I am running 27t stock in all my Vintage.

Mike ran silvercan in his Fox and kicked our (Dave and I) butts so it proves that these older cars are too squirmy on a HARD surface with big power.

Besides as people have said.. lets have some fun, last time I kept breaking (not serious) and it was a drag because it removed a car from the race a lot of the time, and its fun to see the old girls ripp'n er up!

I will have my stable out too Ron, to look at if not to run.
