The MAAC R/C Scale committee has been rudderless for about ten weeks now, so I am very pleased to announce that Dennis has been elected as Chair of the group effective immediatley.
Committees elect from within to fill a vacancy during the year and he was nominated by Roly Worsfold of B.C.,and the motion was seconded by Con Verhulst of Northern Ontario. All committee members voting voted in favor.
Dennis is a real workhorse so the committee can expect an increase in activity and the MAAC Mag will once again be showing R/C Scale coverage.Maybe we can get a really nice scale project on the cover o of the Mag (Keith..........are you listening?)
I am sure Dennis would appreciate any input from any Scale fan,and photos, event reports, how to do it articles etc will be most welcome.
Congratulations Dennis

Your Committee

Thanks Kevin and Steve but credit must go to the committee members as they are the ones that have put a chairperson in place. If the members of your RC Scale Committee had not acted and put a chairperson in place chances are there would have been no report for the AGM for the third year in a row. Most certainly the board would have had to dissolve the committee according to our bylaws.

I think it is important that you know who your committee members are so my first duty is to introduce the 2006 Scale Committee. You will find their experiences modeling, flying, competing as varied as the members of M.A.A.C. itself.

Earlier in this thread I gave Keith a gentle nudge in the ribs for some more scale coverage in the MAAC Mag.
My June issue arrived today and Im sure he is sitting out West smiling at my expense and I sure dont have anything to complain about.
The cover has a full bore scale version of a Norseman in RCMP livery shot by Keith himself.
Page 37 has an article by Dennis regarding our scale efforts in Northern Ontario, and a poster for our NOOSE event .
Page 36 has a large ad for the Chatham 2006 Scale show in July.
The back page has a photo of Dennis and John Mainwaring who placed so well at Toledo this year with a scale Otter.
Thank you Keith...........Ill never complain again

Congrats to Kevin for being man enough to eat a little crow.

On a kinda different but related note, I've read the MAAC mag for many years. I've only been "involved" in this forum for under a year, and it's nice to kinda feel like I sorta know many of the people mentioned. I look through the mag now, and can quite often put the names to a form of "personality".

All you guy's that are mentioned in the mag every month, chair of this committee, volunteer of that contest, you all seem to be regulars on here. It's good to see all this involvement, and it has helped me to see MAAC as a national club, rather than just insurance!
