Don't get me wrong. The Lipo Sack is a good thing.

Having been a professional Firefighter for 27 years I seriously doubt that you can contain the smoke damage from a LIPO fire to one room.

You are best to claim it on your house insurance and get the pros to clean your entire house. You'll likely need it.

Almost every laptop manufacturer have been hit with recalls for bad Lipo or chargers... There's been lots of reports for cell phone blow out. Yet, they have one simple charger charging only one type of battery. How easy is that.

Yes, there's zillions of batteries and only a small amount is blowing up, but you only need one to burn a house down. I still think that people who are not using a Lipo bag or a battery bunker are crazy.

Even worst, on top of that, probably 90% of the chargers are made in asia with no UL approvals, no CSA, etc. etc. (or simple stickers letting you think that they are approved) People are happy to buy a $40 charger that should cost over $100 for the parts alone. They then quite often use another cheap 12Volt power supply, which come from the same place, and as not been approved either, to feed their charger (that's when they didn't fix up an old PC power supply or any other cheaper trick). This is the truly scary part, not the lipo!

I recently fix a charger with a defective ouput. It was on all the time on the second cell. Sure enough, luckily, it didn't blow any lipo, but it did damage a few permanently. They are usually quite well made, but even then, it's made of many electronic parts and you only need one bad one!

Personally, even if I would have charged 2000 lipos, I would still not trust any of my chargers and they are not the cheapest one! Heck, if I could, I would put them in the Lipo bag too! (Hey, don't try that, they need cooling!)
