heres how GLORCS #'s work:
If you participated last season, and had a final standing, your GLORCS 2009 number is your overall finishing position from 2008.
If you are a new participant in 2009, you will receive a GLORCS number upon sign-in (registration ) at the track.
If you're worried about putting the number on the wing trackside, we have XXX main sticker sheets for sale, or you can simply slap on a piece of masking or duct tape and marker the number on.

Ok SO you need to Look at your last years standing on the GLORCS site or you will get one at the track if you never raced GLORCS Before. That's the final word.

I think we are looking way to much into this, i was talking about making the 10 Min mains say 5 Min longer not all of them. Tillsonburg`s lower mains where 20 Min and we finished at what was it around 5 PM. I don`t remember how many entries there was but i`m sure it was well above what we will get this year for a Glorcs event ( no disrespect intended ).
At FTR there was strict rules where announced at the beginning of the weekend, but not enforced, example no track jumping to get across the line for Qaul`s, lot`s of people did. ( again no disrespect intended ). Glorcs or the host track should have people there that WILL enforce these rules ( no matter who it is ), this will do wonders on getting through a race weekend a lot smother ( IMO )

I'm just reading the rulebook here.. it says that the lower mains are to be 15 minutes in length, and can be adjusted by the race director to accomodate unforseen circumstances.
How long were the lower mains at FTR?

I wasn't aware of any unforseen circumstances causing them to be shortened. I'll have to consult the GLORCS committee on this one.

Hey Gump Just curious, is it not up to the GLORCS official for that perticular race to make sure that the track owners follow the Rulebook and if there are to be any changes, then that has to be cleared with the GLORCS official. It seems like once the racing gets starts in the morning, the races run however way the track owners see fit which leads to inconsisdency from track to track.

It would be inappropriate for me to comment on this since I don't have all the information I need.
I have posed the questions in the appropriate forum, and am awaiting the answers from all the sources.

I can tell you, though, that the rules in the book were developed from experience and racer feedback (and many were learned the hard way), and that consistancy through standard operating procedures from race to race is a major concern with our racers, and is therefore our main focus at this time.

If we dropped the ball, then I'll have to apologize. I don't know that we did or not yet.

I think you guys do a great job running this series and i respect all the work that goes into getting a series like this running smooth. Keep up the great work.

Even if there are some bumps in the road i am sure everything will get worked out, again my only concern was the length of the lower mains like Andrew said. 15 minutes seems fair.

looking forward to more great races with the (Glorcs Series).
