Holy crap, they still have the knock-off Deans plugs! HK had to stop selling theirs because of trademark infringement. Get 'em while they're hot!

Yes http://www.snhobbies.com/index.php?cPath=21 i was in there shop in Jan , lots of stuff crammed in there . I was going to buy a wing tiger off them as a first plane but opted to go for broke with a used PZ corsair . Probably not the best idea but its still in 1 piece sorta . I did pick up the cheap Arttech flight controller while i was there and will be going back next time down that way .

SN Batteries....

I'm happy we have a new hobby shop nearby in vancouver. When seeing their 20$ 2200mah batteries i couldn't resist. THey handed one over and i had my little cell checker in my pocket....no voltage...a dud. Next one had cell storage values all over the place. The next one was a bit better but not much. For 20$ i thought i'd try though. After getting the battery home and on the charger, it took forver to bring into balance....one of the cell was just lagging....not a good sign. I ran it thru some brake-in/check cycles with my multiple 20 watt halogen light set up and wattmeter cell indicator...after a few mild cycles the cells were behaving better, so i took her to the field to test out. The c rating was 20c....but flying it, it had the punch of maybe a 10c if that. I have flown it 5 times now, but i only use it as my warm up battery on my su31....cause it has no "get out of trouble" power. Also the battery is very hot after mild flying....not 3d flying....and that is with throttle magnmt....these cheap batteries did not perform up to my worst HK batteries...i may even stop using it, given the temp it is generating.

So be weary of these black 20$ 2200MAH BATTERIES. Also the other day i bought a gt power product claiming to charge two 3 cells at once thru your 6 cell port....chager said " volatage too high...." and the gizmo is set up to charge thru the balance plugs.....not worth the 6$.....

Ok...My bad...the 6$ twin charge gizmo does work, so sorry about that SN hobbies. The instructions are non existent with the product and i was advised to treat setup like a 3 cell...wrong, you have to charge at 6 cell voltage but 3 cell amperage...then it works..

sorry abou that ,,,it does work.
