Depends on your RX as well. Some do not like the full 7.4V and can overheat. The regulators out there I don't think are the best either. It is all about the 6.6V LiFe packs!

Get a LiPo or LiFe!!!! the nimh batteries are so last century and are almost twice a heavy.
The ProTek ones from amainhobbies are great and cheap, what more could you ask for.

i run this guy in my lst2 racer it is lager then a normal pack as you can see i run it up front insted in the usual spot under neath the chassi. for 35 bucks thats a steal its keeps a charge for a good amount of time i was at dorc i ran 4 tanks and it was still going strong
