I got myself a freebie kit version of the milled blue foamy, compliments gb and ol fearless Kevin McGrath.
I promised Gaston I'd review the model - critically -

I'll start another thread once I get rolling on the build.
At first blush the kit is very complete, wheels, carbon fibre sticks, pushrod parts including some heat shrink tube.
The parts line up every bit as good as my Fancy Foam Seminoll, which I will use as a comparision.
I have a Hacker A10-9L motor and HK 12 amp speed controller. I expect to use Tower Pro or Blue Bird or similar servos. I have Hitec 55's in my E-Flite 4-Site, Spektrum 75s in the Sumo, so I'll try these cheapies.

Now, at 20 below C, I'm off to change a thermostat in the kid's car ----

Hi Craig

Can you get the same power system or equivalent to what we've been using, I think I sent you a list for the reccomended power package.
What you're planning on using will weigh approx 17g more than what we use, it's quite a difference on a 4 to 5oz foamie, let me know and I might be able to find something for you, there are a lot of backorders at HK at the moment. I'm sending you the list again, just in case.

As long as you end up close to 4 oz. AUW, you'll be fine, as far as the battery is concerned, 360 mAh works very well, you can fly for quite a while unless you're doing a lot of hovering and rolling circles. If you use the same or equivalent components, you'll end up around 4.3 to 4.5 oz. even with hot glue. One of the reasons I prefer hot glue is that, it's very easy to clean the CF rods and use them again in the next plane.
