Well, I couldn't stand waiting for the headers any longer. I know I was supposed to do the edge glueing of the rudder sheeting. But I was being pulled back to the motor box and fuel tank cradle / cannister mounts.
So I did some reading, mounted up the motor and started taking lots of measurements. Then It was time to do up some drawings and start cutting some plywood. I have a bunch of photos of the different stages then different views of how it all sits in the motor box. You will notice I used Trevor's carbon rod trick to join the 2 halves together. They are also the rails to wrap the velcro straps around to hold the tank down Never pay again for live sex! | Hot girls doing naughty stuff for free! | Chat for free!

In these ones you can see how the cannister mount is going to tie into the landing gear block and help to make everything that much stronger. Next will be to actually epoxy it all in place. You will notice that the fuel bottle sits down low in the box even with the wing tube. I put it this low intentionally. A bit later on I plan to build a modular tray ( self contained and removable ) for a smoke system. The smoke module/tray will mount directly above the fuel tank and fit under the hatch without issue.
The other thing to take note of is the CG on this Edge is actually a couple of inches in front of the wingtube. So this places the cannisters, the fuel tank and the future smoke system pretty much on the CG  Never pay again for live sex! | Hot girls doing naughty stuff for free! | Chat for free!

You're not getting the SWB mount back  Mine was supposed to have arrived yesterday. I am just going to give you the new one when you get back. Beautiful job Brad! I can tell how much thought you put into all of that! There's a lot to consider with the integrated canister and tank mount, but in the end it's super light and really stiffens up the motorbox!
Beautiful job!! Oh... and I see you used the Built By Walt trick on the fuse sides to get the wingtube holes to work out perfectly... once you use his process, it's the only way that makes any sort of sense!!! Cheers Trev |
