IMHO There are only 2 shops in the GTA that will give you a fair price with good service. Pinnacle Hobbies and Hobby Hobby. Arden at A&J is a nice fellow but with Jacks legal problems I would think that that place is radio active right now. I would not be purchasing anything at RC Sport anytime soon, especially their fuel. I suggest that you do the same.

You mean Hotrod Hobbies in Hamilton? The place that was designed as a race track and not an actual hobby shop? If so, their track is just as S#!T

Re: Anybody been to Radio Controlled sport and hobby

I'll add another plug for the ZoomRoom. Henry, Dan, and Brandon are all fantastic guys...they are all knowledgeable with respect to all aspects of the hobby. Their prices are competitive with many online sites.

Seriously, these guys are awesome...they CARE about their customers

Cheers

Re: Anybody been to Radio Controlled sport and hobby

I real nice LHS bashing thread.... Just remember when they are gone because you didnt support them you will be forced to drive that distance for a glow plug or fuel...
R/C sports always did great for me havent been for a few years Hobby Hobby was always too busy/ too disorganised/ just a nuthouse .
sasha at toys for big boys is a great heli guy and good with car and plane stuff.
Alll these guys are trying to make a buck and keep the doors open.
remember hobby king doesnt have doors or a roof to pay for

Re: Anybody been to Radio Controlled sport and hobby

+1 for Dan and Henry at the zoom room. Prices are competative and orders and requests are usually within a week or so. Faster than other shops I've been too. Mainly cars and foamy stuff but have no issues ordering anything you want from most places not just the 2 main distributors.

Still in Woodbridge. Across from Lowes at Hwy #7
+1 for this place. Owner always helps me out, competitive prices.

Radio Controlled Sport and Hobby is pretty good also - try to stick with the younger guys working there, they're always helpful and know their stuff.
