EME 120cc engine testing
I know I sent roger one of these for testing as well so I will start a thread on these great engines.
First off, The engine is light, and I like light as long as it does not shake everything. A quick test today showed me this light engine appears to be smooth. Second I brought this engine in because of the mid range power seemed to be good as seen in these dyno tests "The EME 60 power band is close to a DA 60 (slightly less), the mid range torque curve is only a little behind the 3W 55 and on par with the DA 60 and the general construction is as good as anything seen from China to date." Here is a first run of the engine out of the box, factory Cans, no changes in needles. I can tell you the engine vibrated a lot less than my da 120 on the same stand 2 weeks ago. http://youtu.be/PVYAp-c5hC0 Sorry about the end of the video, I thought I shut it off a few seconds earlier Our tach quit working tonight so I will have to get one and post some values later. Hopefully I will test the eme stock exhaust, eme cans, and eme tune pipes. yes, eme has made there own pipes at 7.5 ounces each. |

Looks great Lorne. Could you tell me your thought's on this engine and the JC 120 evo as I see you have one for sale. I to have a JC 120 with bowelmen's ring in it and I think run great how ever I have been looking at the EME 120 I had 2 EME 55's I thought they were ok but the DLE 55 is a better built engine.
I am interested in you thought's. Douglas |

Re: EME 120cc engine testing
Looks great Lorne , that is smooth for a new engine . Lorne can you weigh the 60 on your scale with just the plug prop washer and prop bolts so I can verify my findings for the engine chart thanks .Roger
