Has anyone built one(in plans from SPAD to The Bone) if so where did you source the U Channel aluminium,What guage or thickness was it.Any other ideas as what to use as the spine.Closest I came up with was 1" square PVC if they make something like that or I have even considered the T rail from suspended ceiling as it is fairly light but still rigid

usual suspects: rona, home depot has it. Could even use L-shaped stuff if you can't find the U-shaped.
