Big Kudos, by the way, to Mike Herman, who sweet talked the tow truck company into moving the fuse for free, and now the wings! Note, being in a committed loving relationship, I am not commenting on the tow truck driver!

Wow, that looks great.
Get that right wing done so we can start seeing pictures of the assemby at the museum!

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

My wife was taking the photos! lol. I did exclude one, that of my buddy John Forsythe bending over to pick up the wing tip, at least I can torment her about getting a gratuitous ass shot of him, while I refrained from any looks, comments, etc of the driver. That being said, front was equally impressive to the back, nuff said. She was really stoked about moving the wing, but did comment that her boss was the one that jumped on moving the fuselage. She was able to check out the fuse, wing center section, and tail feathers at the museum.

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Today, started work on the tail feathers, at the museum. The goal for today was to figure out the best way to mount the tail feathers. They need to be removable for transport, if we do the travelling road show. Lots of little things to do yet, but both the horizontal and vertical stab are now attached. We'll get the rudder fit and hinged tomorrow, then we need to get the wing center section fitted to the fuselage!

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Worked solo today, got a lot of work done on cleaning up the aft end of the fuselage, and then managed to get the rudder hinged, and installed. Everything's together, but loose, as it will all have to come apart for final sanding, and then the fabric work. Tomorrow, I'll either keep going on sanding/filling, detail stuff, or start fitting the wing center section, depending on help availability.
