Alternate Prop For 8-3.8
Hi. Got a Blue Wonder calling for an 8-3.8 prop and do not have any locally. Tried a GWS HD 8040 and did not have good performance. So I was wondering what others are using. I can get the GWS 8043 here.
Plane is around 10 ounces, 24 gram motor, 2s lipo (800 - 1300 mAh) Thank you |

If this is the motor you're referring to - or similar - then you can go up a prop size. The specs talk about an 8x3.8 on 3S (vs. your 2S):

Or you can mod the BW motor as Jose has done over here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=558 And run up to a 10x4.7. Now he is admittedly over propping, but with his mods and throttle management he's able to keep the temps down. Cheers. J
