Re: Wasn't a Successful Maiden :(

I had an HV110. One of the motor leads came off the ESC at the board. I would check all leads are good, give them a big tug.

If your gonna go to a gasser go 50cc sized right away. The cost difference between doing up a 50cc sized plane to a 30cc size is only a couple hundred dollars and the 50cc size fly ten time better (bigger is better saying)

Them Aeroplus planes are looking like whicked planes. them Pilot RC or 3DHS you really can't go wrong

If you go 50cc don't compromise on the power-plant, buy this one before it's gone!!!

WOT was 79amps, witch is DEAD on what the motor will pull max..

I can't really go a 50cc size, it won't fit in my car. The inverza plane i'm looking at will just fit

Re: Wasn't a Successful Maiden :(

Here we go, got the Elogger setup, epoxied the Thermistor to the esc, going to run the plane here at home max throttle for 15-20 seconds then check temp and current, do a few max throttle bursts do this for about 5 min, i will keep my cell checker plugged in and my handy digital laser temp probe with me.

Basically do a test with the esc inside the cowel and check temp of esc & motor.

Some info of the motor, the current max is pretty much what i saw through the elogger on the first test. I did notice i only ran it for a minute. This time ill go a full flight.

[QUOTE=bradleyban;1635177 and the 50cc size fly ten time better (bigger is better saying)

[/QUOTE]

Maybe years ago but with so much improvement over the years the difference in flying quality is much closer now.
If cost was the only factor then I would also suggest the 50cc. But size can be a very important factor and storing and transporting a 30cc plane is much easier. The better brands fly very well now so don't overlook a nice quality 30cc bird.

I'm partial to Extreme Flight airframes but 3DHS is right up there too.

For the difference in cost I'd go 50cc they fly way better!
