I have the Titan in my Rookie this year, maybe I should make the trip?

Re: Fast Plane "HELP"

Jack, I was at an event a couple of years back and Don Bright from Morinville was there with a Diamond Dust with some kind of hot piped engine on it, I'm certain that I would not have been able to keep up with him.....it was hot!.....Ron

I agree, the old school pattern planes are some of the sexiest planes out there. I personally really prefer the old designs over the new ones in terms of looks. I would like another LA-1, always liked the look of that one, I really like the Summit's as well, and a Phoenix 8, I like that one, aw hell, there's lots that I like!

Re: Fast Plane "HELP"

Sorry Jack, no racing for this baby

You should have kept that Hanno They are worth a fortune today if in good shape, very hard to find engines.

It will be interesting to see how I think it flies compared to a modern plane

Re: Fast Plane "HELP"

A 40 year old design would still stomp them. Try Phil Kraft's "GOGO FLY". It uses a .40 size engine, I would use one of those engines they use for fan jets. Speed is all RPM and prop selection.
