I got mine at Zehrs. I think most larger grocery stores have them.

Only the s-bus are programmable Brad. The bls157 and bls172 s-bus are essentially the same with a $40 difference and one being s-bus.

Jason! One thing I recommend. Is doing the top and bottom x carbon tubes in the belly and above the gas tanks like mine. The 40% have a lot of flex from the motor box to the wing tube.It caused some hatch cracking in my old 40% edge and some header cracking issues in some 35% ,my alum headers haven't had an issue even though there lengthened 4" with no flex at all.

Re: 40% Edge Build (another)

Thanks Andy, sounds like a good idea. Definately will stiffen it up in that area.

Re: 40% Edge Build (another)

I have decided to go with a flush mounted cowl and realized I had removed some material from F2 where I would be installing mounting hardware.
I think I may have gotten a bit carried away lightening that piece anyway so I replaced some wood for the hardware and also added a couple cf rods to beef it up. They will get covered by 1/4 balsa so won't show later.

Re: 40% Edge Build (another)

Then cut the holes for the phenolics by placing the fuse side up against the motor box and sliding the tube in to mark its location. I just sharpen up the tube a bit so it scores the side to mark its location and then cut with an exacto. Repeat on other side.. I use a roll of sand paper to clean it up and fine tune.

Re: 40% Edge Build (another)

I removed some triangles from the fuse sides.
And prepared the cross braces for the truss structure. Two sets exactly the same to keep it square when the top pieces go in.
And installed the diagonals before getting the fuse sides on.
