FYI, I have plenty of misaligned cuts and slots. This version of the plans also has many mistakes and inaccuracies. I do a lot of test fitting and making adjustments to get things working right before I glue a part together. Fans you see on the wall eject air outside similar to a typical washroom fan. For heavy duty sanding I hook up a shop vac to pull most of the dust away. The swept part of the A10 wings were more challenging dealing with misaligned cuts. I am sure most of the misaligned cuts would not happen if the plans were from a PDF file(vector graphics with precision) instead of just paper plans that had been blown up from 1/9 scale to 1/7 scale. The blow up in scale will also magnify errors in the plans. Its been a challenge to check/cross check parts to make sure everything is right.

If you are still looking at carbon fibre wing tubes , try EBay as there is some nice stuff out of china but only in metric sizes. Bought some a year ago and pretty impressed.
Be interesting what you have for weight so far. The only issue that you may have is
the distance of the EDF , ESC and Batteries from each other as this stuff doesn't like long leads.

Doing a great build job on this baby , Jim. The Jet Cat P20 ( at $2575 each) would be sucking for air ; no pun intended ; with total thrust at 11 lbs and at more money than a pair of the new Jets Munt M70XBL (with brushless pump and starters with adjustable power from 40N to 70N) at $1795 usd each from Altecaire RC but Peter may be able to cut you a better deal on a pair with a drop ship from Spain .
Regardless of the power used , EDF or turbine I am going to have to say that the all up weight of a fully sheeted aircraft of this size is going to be
up around 18-20 lbs with all the electronics, batteries and retracts.

Going glass/paint finish or iron on covering ?

Keep up the build, great job.

I am going with monokote covering. Rudders are already covered. The all up weight on this 98" wing span bird is supposed to be about 30 lbs.

A pair of fan jet 120s can deliver at least 180N of thrust which should be good. http://www.turbines-rc.com/en/110mm-...mm-carbon.html

I did not get finished. Life and my wallet have put this project on hold for now.
