Rumours are true. I have been working on a PCM L1011. It has been quite the project - and a team effort with 4 of us have been involved from the basic building through the painting process. Initially the concept was to build the plane and have it airbrushed in fantasy colors / schemes. It was then to be transferred back and forth from west coast to east coast events to showcase the RAM engine line. Initially we were going to put three RAM 500s in it. Alas with RAM closing I offered to buy out Rei's share and have now finished the plane. It is powered by a single turbine. I would like to put Merton's engine in it but I am looking at flying in the U.S. as well. It is fresh out of the paint booth - done up in the Air Canada scheme. Turned out very nice. Its all apart right now due to painting but I'll throw it together once I can see some workspace and take a couple of pics. She's a bbig bird!

Between the two Eurofighters, Big F86 and the L10ll - I have run out of workshop room! Hmmmm may have to add on to the house

Well guys its been a longer haul than anticipated but I finally got a picture up of the L1011 I have been working on. She is BIG but only needs a single 18 lb turbine to fly. All up weight should be around 26 lbs. Features include flaps, retracts, doors, scale access hatches and a very shiny paint job ( except for the wings ) Need to do a little more detail work on the outside, final rigging of the engine and fuel delivery system and she's ready to go....once Spring arrives! Check out my site www.helijet.ca and click on projects for a preview.
