clutch still over heating/??

my clutch is over heating don't know why keep replacing my spur gear every time why????????????/
put new bearings in the clutch bell the cluch bell is brand new seems like the clutch shoes are opening up too soon while its ideling and heating up the clutch and then it melts the spur gear its a basic clutch two shoes with a spring around it anyone have any ideas?????

likely be some binding/tight spot causing the clutch to work harder(heated up) make sure everything moving smoothly without major binding..

clutch

it not binding at all very free thats what i don't understand why its over heating and then it stays on and melts the bearings

What's the condition of the clutch liner? wearing thin.. and clutch shoe spread open too much?.

condition of motor

the motor is new i've had it for 6 yrs but never broke it in just started using it now can't figure out why its heating been store for 6 yrs

Is the motor over heating or clutch over heating I go by what you said on the subject title.. clutch over heating.

Why are you replacing your spur gear?? If it's getting stripped then it might be because your mesh between the clutch bell and spur gear isn't properly set. You might be overheating the spur gear if your slipper clutch is set too loose.

clutch

i just put new bearings in the clutch and i notice theres a bit of play with those bearings i'm assuming that when i line it up with the spur gear that it probably moves a bit with that play and rubs on the clutch pads and over heats the clutch and melts the spur gear
it a little bit of play as if the bearing are a touch smaller than the bell housing so it that my problem??????
