How do you sort and store your propellers?

Hi,

With the popularity of electric planes, I'm finding I have a large assortment of glow, slow fly, and electric propellers.

I currently keep each type in a separate container, but I would like to sort them and store by size. Does anyone use a simple and convenient way to do this?

I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Fly4Fun,

Wayne

If you've got room for a pegboard, the props can go on those straight pegboard attachments. Takes a bit more space than containers, but you see immediately what you have.

Re: How do you sort and store your propellers?

Thanks for the replies. I have a Plano Fishing Tackle box from Walmart that I use for my flight box, but it wouldn't have enoght room to sort all the props.

I was considering using a pegboard, but wasn't quite sure how to hang the props - does anyone have a picture? If so could you post it? Thanks.

Wayne

Re: How do you sort and store your propellers?

I have about $4,000 in props, hundreds of them - from 4" to 28" in almost all pitches and multiples.

My storage is in 4 or 5 shoe boxes - just separating brands (APC, Zinger, Evolution, etc) and under 12" and over 12".

I can find a prop in a minute, it may seem unorganized but its pretty easy to grab the right box and then find the prop(s) I need.

If I put everything on a board in terms of pitch and diameter, and brand I would need a whole wall to do so so its impractical to me.

Re: How do you sort and store your propellers?

I agree - the pegboard will take room if you have a lot of props.

Andrew - My feet aren't that small, but where do you get a shoebox that fits a 28" prop?
