First flight rapture

Well have you all noticed how euphoric one feels when it all comes together? I finally flew (maiden flight-love that term!) my CG Ultimate after procrastinating for a few months. You see, I built one two years ago that had it's first flight last summer and on that maiden flight about five minutes in, the right stab half folded, and the plane took a terminal dive from about three hundred feet!
Needless to say, I was pi--ed off, but it flew so well for five minutes that I built this one-and it flew just like the last one, without needing one click of trim! Yes I put flying wires on the stab, and this flight ended with a perfect three pointer!
Like that other sport (the one with the clubs) it only takes that perfect flight to make it all worthwhile! To all who crash..fear not and build to fly another day!
Lee (a happy guy)

Congratulations!

The Ultimate is one of my all time favourite planes to fly. Not the prettiest biplane but she sure makes up for it in the air. Mine was getting a bit long in tooth but I couldn't bear to put her out to pasture so I stripped her down and rebuilt her. 3 flights on her since the rebuild, she's no maiden but, she still makes me feel like she is.
