Hey guys,

Do any of you have experience with the Hisky brand of Heli's? They seem to be a very affordable brand of CP 3D heli and wanted to know how they hold up, what parts availability is like and if they bind with my DX6i.

Here is a link to Hisky heli's on Banggood

Secondary question would be, Do you have experience ordering from Banggood?

Edit: Hisky is sold under another brand called WL Toys

I've never seen or tried any of these before.

The helis look kinda cute and similar to the blade helis. Might be worth a chance.

Now I too am curious to hear from anyone else who might have tried these.

I have bought a lot of stuff from banggood and the only issue i have because it free shipping... it takes anywhere from 15 - 30 days to reach me... the biggest slow down is anything electronic.. customs slow that process down.

Product are pretty good... remember you get what you pay for...

Shipping from Banggood is hit and miss, I always pay for tracking (extra buck or two on most orders) Sometimes it's here in a week, sometimes a month. The savings is well worth the wait imho. If I needed something badly, I'll visit the LHS.
You also have to figure in Chinese holidays. The entire country shuts down for days at a time during their festivals. (many people forget this)

I've a few WL toys rcs , all work great. They also work bind with my Turnigy 9x without issue.

Re: HiSky (a.k.a. WL Toys) Hi or Low on your rating scale

Hello,
I have flown both the V911 and the Hisky HFP100 (the "original V944").

Learning to fly R/C helicopters seems daunting and expensive, but it really doesn't have to be. Purchase a RTF V911 + a bnf V911 + 5 battery combo for an amazing starter setup. The V911 is the best learning helicopter in my opinion.

My progression went something like this:
Blade CX2 (Old as balls, maybe 7 years ago) --> V911 x 3 --> HFP100 x 2 --> Blade SR --> Blade 130x --> Blade 300x.

The v911 really taught me how to fly, while the HFP100 taught me what FBL flight is like! No self leveling but excellent performance in the wind. Pretty fast too! The Blade SR was a bit of a pig, I got it flying well, but it was sloppy at best. Later came the 130x which built upon my HFP100 experience then finally my 300x where I can fly 3D now!

GodsLt, since you know Blades' level of workmanship how would you compare the Hisky brand in terms of quality and durability. Also, what kind of transmitter do you use...the Hisky RTF offering or have you tried with a Spectrum radio?

Re: HiSky (a.k.a. WL Toys) Hi or Low on your rating scale

Hey MikWilly,
The hisky level of manufacturing is actually very good.
Their HFP100 line (I have personal experience with two of them) is very good for flybarless 4ch helis. They don't wobble or vibrate, their tails hold reasonably well, and by using mcpx bl lynx mains (115mm iirc) you can really boost performance and flight times.

I use a deviated Devo 7e modded with a flysky module and an NRF module, so I have no experience with hisky's tx offerings.

Regards,
Stefan.

Re: HiSky (a.k.a. WL Toys) Hi or Low on your rating scale

I bought the HCP100S dual brushless (AKA Assault 100 on HK) as my first helicopter. Not exactly an indoor helicopter like you're looking for, but it is possible.

It's designed and built very well in my opinion. They have blue thread locker on some of the tiny screws!

Parts are readily available (although I've only checked banggood) and it seems pretty durable.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt though. I've only been flying this thing for a few days. But so far I'm thrilled with it. I'm flying it with the HT8 module.

Edit: i broke it

One thing about shopping at Banggood, you go down to the bottom of the page and there is real evaluation of the product by customers.
