I just got this from Great Planes... so I will pass it along.

December 17th, 2003 marks the 100th anniversary of the flight that started it all. Great Planes and Knife Edge software want to help commemorate this spectacular feat with our rendition of the Wright Flyer.

For more information on this historic flight, and to download your free Wright Flyer, please visit:

http://www.realflight.com/wright-flyer/index.html

now I'm going to give it a try!!! :P

I just gave it a try....

it works very nice....

once you get the Wright Flyer in a turn ... it does take a while to get it out of that turn too...

Thanks for the heads up. I will be downloading it tonight. I have just bought one of the kits and am looking forward to the first flight. Hopefully, mine will last a little longer.

That's a neat little flier. I'm curious to see if Fodder's will fly like that one.

That is pretty neat. Any idea though why somone would go the the trouble of creating such a nice Realflight model of this plane and then give it two engines? If I'm not mistaken the 1903 Wright Flyer had a single driving two propeller shafts. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I had thought it was the new Wright Flyer model that GP just released (2 electric motors) with the gas engine sound track, not the original plane.

I never checked the engines

I never thought about that. But then why not make it electric. BTW hit "K" once while flying it. Doesn't fly so great on one engine.
