The original shocks are AMAZING on our TNX, those must be awesome on a Savage too. You can drop a truck with those from your head and it almost doesn't bottom out.

Question power stroke shocks

I just ordered the powerstrokes for my TNX to upgrade it.
Any way you can send me a copy of the diagram that comes with the TNX on how to install them, and what is needed as I got my TNX used and am just now upgrading the shocks.
I saw one of the PRO kits in the store and saw the upgrade sheet and bag of parts, and want to know what is needed.
My email is rcdave905@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance

David

Unhappy shocks

Thanks Cyclops, but when I was at the hobby store they opened a TNX Pro kit for me, and on a seperate piece of paper and in a seperate bag, (othre than the powerstoke shock kit) was instructions and parts to hook the shocks up for the TNX. I couldn't bring myself to get them to let me open the instructions and copy them, I was pushing it enough just to get them to open a new kit for me to see what came with it.

There's not much to do, although sorry I don't have the pro kit sheet anymore. There's not much to do though, this is bacicly it:

1. Use a Dremel (preferably) with a sanding/grinding drum or a hobby knife to take a bit of material from the bottom shock mounting position. This allows for free movement of the shock.

2. Reuse the top screw that was on the TNX - you may need spacers for the top of the shock.

3. Use new bottom screws for mounting, I don't believe the TNX ones work. T-maxx ones may work or find a long screw that will work. They may be included, as they were with the TNX Pro.

I hope this helps, its pretty much what we did, although they gave us the screws and spacers for ours. The powerstrokes make a very noticable difference to the truck, especially on the track!
