Myles

First I have to finish my salt water fish tank. (my other hobby)
Then I plan on finishing the F22 and the Venom. Of course if the Great Northern boys come out with something enticing I may change my mind again

Whos BD5 kit are you building?

BD-5

Peter,
The BD-5J is from Jet-Mart. I am still waiting on some formers and hardware to arrive but this is giving me extra time to sort out some gear that is more scale than what Jet-Mart show for it. It's a DF kit but I am converting it to a fire breather

The KingCat was truly the hit of this year's Superman!

The KingCat is truly a versatile bird. It can take off in less than 100 ft and lands so sloooooooooow it is amazing. The guys were almost hovering them in 10- 15 mph winds. Yet the 'Cat would do blistering 200 mph passes no prob. I looked over the aircraft carefully and liked what I saw. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending this aircraft for use on a 500 ft grass runway. If you can fly say a....1/3 Extra, 540 etc off the strip then you would be able to fly the KingCat off as well. It features flaps that work very effectively for take off, slow flight and landing. The quality is very, very good from the tanks to wheels ( 3 1/2 mains, 3 1/4 nose ). It requires some bulkhead assembly and some final fitting but it is easy to assemble as proven by some customers that had built theirs in less than two weeks. P120 ( or 28 lb thrust ) was used in the majority of the aircraft I saw and it provided ample power. Now for details...all composite in all white to colored options. Base price for all white $ 3800 U.S. which includes the massive retracts, struts, wheels / brakes, air supply system, kevlar tanks, UAT, brake valve, engine mount and all final hardware. I suppose that some may say that is quite a lot of money - but it sure is a lot of aircraft. The kit is shipped in two large boxes via air so as to minimize shipping damage. This does add an extra $150 U.S. to the bill. Currently the wait list is at ... end of December delivery. BVM has recently revised their dealer program on this bird so I doubt you will see any discounting. The long waiting list is also an indication of its success. Contact myself or Great Northern Models if need more info.
