Andy... the welder gave me the end of that extension that's turned down to the proper ID and OD... I think there's about 3" of the stuff left!!!

I could get him to weld on 1" for you or I could just give you the little spool and you could get your buddy to do it - your call! This welder does some incredible welding!! Since he's already done the machining of the spool piece, I doubt he'd charge more than $40.00 for you to do the welding!

Let me know!

Ah... I understand - sorry!! He can easily do that up - will likely be around$60.00.

I've gotta meet you to give you those cutty-cutty templates, so I can get your headers at the same time

I fired up the Dremel this morning and cut out the recesses for the wing attachment blocks These blocks have been glued in with 30-min epoxy

Wow those wing roots are way thicker than the PRO! I've had a miserable cold for three days so not much work on my baby, but some progress being made. I'll post pics soon.
I kinda like how you finish up the fuse, then do e wings and stabs later...keeps the enthusiasm up when you have some vision in front of you. I'm still working on my killer paint scheme, which btw will be way more work than your plane

Lee,

You'll have to NIX the Killer Paint Scheme.

We DON'T need any more fatalities in IMAC this season!
