Futaba Reciever w/Airtronics trans.

...nothing is broken, but i wanted to make sure of something before i get angry and break it. is it true that a Futaba reciever will not work with a Airtronics transmitter ? ive heard that they "speak different languages" and therefore will not be able to work together.
Another thing is that the battery connection on the Fut. reciever has 3 prongs, my last Airtronics rec. had 2 (positive and negative), do i have to change the wires around for it to work? how are the battery wires routed on your Futaba 2 channel (if you have one)?
thx in advance

they do "speak different languages" so your out of luck... the futaba can work with hitec stuff and the airtronics will work with jr stuff...

yep thx, found out at the hobbyshop, but now my JR R125 reciever is messing up for some reason...it loses contact with my HPI TX-2 (Airtronics) transmitter at totally random times , and makes unwanted moves of the ESC (Airtronics ES-01) and steering servo (Hitec HS-425BB.) IM CONFUZED TO HELL !!! another thing is that my ESC heated up super hot before, then it finally ran for about 3/4 of battery life for unexplainable reasons (it is impossible to wire it up wrong), then 1/2 way through running, it smoked again and went back to what it originally did !, but this time im not as lucky as before; i couldnt get the body off the car fast enough to really save the ESC so there is no speed now, just servo movement , even HobbyHobby couldnt explain it !
o well, i guess i gotta bug my parents to chip in for a mamba system

for the tx/rx ur SOL man... but for servos, as long as they red/black on the futaba line up with the red/b;ack of the airtronics ur good......

in the last few yrs connects have become pretty much interchangeable... the radios companies smartened up and realized it would be smart to make it all universal as opposed to the customer making it work.....

So far as I know the Futaba/Hitec and JR/Airtronics crystal swap only works with FM systems not with AM. A while back I spoke to a JR Techy guy who said that their crystals will not work well in any other brand of receiver except their own.Just passin' info on to try and help.

I thought HPI TX-2 was made by futaba? since futaba makes a gear set for the SF1 and SF2 servos?
