Raptor 50V2 questions....
Hey guys. What kind of servos are you using in your R50's for cyclic, tail, collective? I'm going to use 811's on everything but the tail. For the tail i'm going with a 502 and a Hitec 5925. Eventually I want to get into the aerobatics so will these servos "cut the mustard"?
Also, is it better to have the tail servo mounted on the boom or in its stock location? I just assembled a R50 V2 and I was wondering if anybody has any tips or tricks that i could do to make the heli more reliable and make the setup go a bit easier. Thanks. |

The 811's will cut it for 3D, I run S5101's on cyclic and throttle and a S9250 on the tail. My machine goes through a lot also. I would leave the servo in the stock position, it won't get all greasy and full of fuel goop up there. It makes no difference in performance. Just means when ya crash it will most likely rip the servo apart when the boom breaks (depending on how hard it hits) Anyone that has seen my rappy fly will tell you any ole cheep servos will do fine! Most have seen my 39 go but not to many have seen the 50....next year at the GAFF
