I'm using an EDF from Tamjets on 6s. Fast and has a nice sound to it. The flaps work great, no need to mix any elevator.

Talking Re: Habu II upgrade

Well, I think I'll be keeping this one stock, the original was fast enough for me to practice with. I installed the electric retracts from E-Flite and they seem to work really well. The nose gear is located quite a bit forward though, hope the foam in the nose is strong enough for possible rough landings . . . . . time will tell . . . . .

Re: Habu II upgrade

I ordered the replacement airframe from Great Hobbies today. The horizon website shows it as being in stock this Wednesday so however long it takes to get from there to here - maybe 2 weeks? The price will be $119.00 or possibly a little less depending on freight.

Re: Habu II upgrade

Krylon fusion, but you need to sand it prior painting. And for masking I used the paper sprayed with Stencil Adhesive and residue after adhesive if any I cleaned it with baby oil.

Strange, I didn't have any problem. Similar work I had done with Krylon Short Cuts, no sign of eating. I don't know what could went wrong.
