Prop question

I have a prop that's reamed out too much for my os .40. Is there any way to make it work on the shaft or am I out of luck?
I know they're cheap enough to get another, but won't know unless I ask!

piece of fuel tubing, or a bushing from a spinner on the shaft will center it..

Sometimes the K&S tubing from the hobby store can be used to make a bushing.

Props arent free, and if it is still in good shape otherwise, it is too easy to bush it to correctly fit the shaft.

Like Ed said, get a number of sizes of K&S brass or aluminum tubing. They snugly fit each progressive size, and becasue they come in 1/32" increments you can easily cut of sections of the right diameters to center the prop dead on.

Like Nony said, in some cases a simple piece of tubing or if its not reamed too much larger even a wrapping of masking tape will do. As long as it is centered correctly, when the prop nut is tightened, it is going to hold it in the right place.

The easiest way is to get access to a lathe, or make friends with a club member that has one. I regularly make bushings for my props from aluminum, as some engines are metric, some SAE.

Thanks! I know props are cheap, but I hate throwing out stuff that's still good!

Trouble is I am running out of space to store it all.
