Receiver for Airtronics radio

I have a Airtronics RD6000 Super radio and I am wanting to pick up another flight pack. Other than buying a Hitec universal or an Airtronics (Hard to find) do I have any other options. My understanding is that JR and Air are positive shift receivers and Futaba is negative so does this mean I can use a JR receiver on the same channel as my Air radio? Please do not suggest that I use my "Scartronics" radio as a book end and buy better equipement as many have suggested already. I like my radio and that will just hurt my feelings Any suggestions

Thanks George

Any JR or Airtronics compatible receiver should work fine.

George,

Why not just order a genuine Airtronics Rx from LHS?

I have an Airtronics RD 6000 and it "talks" to several Airtronics receivers, a couple of Hitec Shift Selectable transmitters and one Futaba receiver (all in different airplanes of course ) with no problems.

Since the "shift" is stored as one of the parameters for each individual memory location, I can bring two airplanes, one with an Airtronics receiver and one with a Futaba receiver, out to the field on the same day and all I need to do is make sure I have the corrrect model selected.

Of course, these are all FM receivers and NOT PCM...

As cp140 said, ANY FM dual-conversion receiver will work.
That is an excellent radio, and the shift select makes it even better!

(I would still have mine, except I needed more channels. Easiest to program, bar none!!)
