RIM Park Indoor report

Our second RIM park indoor event is now in the history books. It was a great success. We had an increase in participants over our last one. We saw some new faces and many familiar faces. Everyone seemed to have plenty of stick time and I would have to say that the day was a great success. I have several pictures that I would like to share with you.

The first picture is one of our out of town guests. Adam Binder is from Tillsonberg. I believe he is flying an E-flight Extra 300. Nice looking plane.
Since I was the host, I get to show my planes next along with a good friend of mine, Mike Fritz. Mike has been in the RC scene for many years and has been a formidable force in the indoor world for a few years now. The first three planes are mine and the rest are Mike's. Nice job Mike. They are Epic Vortex's, Epic's, Animals and Plug's.

Here are some more pictures from RIM park.
The first one is a "Chubby Lady" brought by one of our familiar faces. I believe his name is Leon Loo.
Another Epic and a small version of the Blade.
The Ikaras F3A is a good choice for indoor flying.

These are the last three pictures from RIM park.
Ivan Kristensen paid us a visit to share some of his memories and experiences. Ivan is always a joy to have around. Maybe next session he will bring his transmitter and plane. I know I look forward to that happening. See you soon Ivan.
The smallest plane belonged to Jim Evans.
An Edge 540 was a nice flyer. I think this one belongs to Bill Konduros. I'm hope I didn't get the name wrong.

All in all, it was a great day to be flying indoors. It was rainy and just plain old crappy outside. The pilots that showed up were not only accomplished but, fun to fly with. I would like to thank everyone that participated to make this event a success.

See you December the 28th, from 3:30pm until 6:30pm at RIM park.

One last set of pictures.
Again I proved that two airplanes cannot occupy the same air molecules at the same time.
My Epic Vortex tangled with Adam Binder's Extra. My Epic Vortex came out the looser. After I stopped laughing, I picked up the eight pieces of my plane along with one small piece from Adam's plane and returned to the pits. Not to worry, my aircraft will be back in the air by tomorrow. Adam's was back in the air in less than 30 seconds. Too much fun.
I love this sport.

See you next time.

rim park

Good to see you any every one had fun.
Adam is a local flyer. Great guy to hang around with. His new plane is the e-flite 260.

Now have you figured out dates for the new year? Again conflicts with making the dec 28 date.

You are correct. He did tell me that his plane was an E-Flite 260 and I forgot. Too much going on. Yes it was a great time. I look forward to these fly days.
I don't have a list of 2007 dates yet. I'm having a problem getting decent days. All the days that I want are already booked. The management at RIM park is working on it for me. Hopefully soon.

You can let Adam know that the plane is fixed and ready to hit the skies again. Here is the before and after shot of it.

Hi Terry!

Just wanted to clarify the "Chubby Lady" flown at Rim park on Dec 2nd, 006.jpg was flown by Daniel Adam of Kitchener. It was my first time out at Rim Park with a plane and I look forward to future events.

Regards

Daniel

I apologize for that mistake Daniel. As soon as I read your post I remembered your name. Sorry.
Nice airplane. It was a joy to see "The Chubby Lady" fly. I hope to see you back again on the 28th of Dec.

Terry

Nice repair Terry, that plane's an amazing flyer. As always Rim park is an indoor flyers dream and I had a blast, thanks again and see you next time. Oh, yes, you got the name right - a rarity. Cheers! Bill.
