DLA 32 Voltage??
I just bought a DLA- 32 and it says 7.2-7.4 Volts for the ignition.
So its a simple 6 cell NIMH ?That will give me 7.2. Thanks in advance |

Re: DLA 32 Voltage??
My DLA56 was running the same ignition. I ran it on a 2S LiFe battery. 6.6volts. Worked fine. Actually I beleive for the first runs I was using a 6volt nimh pack.

Re: DLA 32 Voltage??
No worries. My issue was I am using a spectrum powersafe receiver and whatever voltage I input was going into my servo's. All my servo's are rated 6 volts. The receiver was able to take up to 11.1volts.That is why I used the LiFe battery. 6.6v will never hurt the servo's. I should also say that my ignition was even using a regulator to put a steady 6.1volts into the ignition. I use an IBEC so my ignition is powered by the receiver. Less weight removing batteries needed for ignition.
When I spoke with RCexl and emailed DLA, they both mentioned all ignitions will work with as low as 4.8volts. The rated amount on the casing is a max. Should never be exceeded. No matter the input voltage, the spark strength will not change. If it sparks, it works. As per the 2 mentioned above. Good luck and enjoy! Steve |
