Ezkote on balsa

Hi guys,

I will have a fully sheeted balsa airplane can I cote the whole thing with ezkote then paint?I'm just worried I have never glassed before and dont want to add a lot of weight its on a 1/7 scale spitfire from top flite and want a nice camo look? I was thinking of that, glassing or covering the top all green and painting on camo look, need some help you are the experts...lol

I just finished the tail on my Rare Bear using EZCote and glass cloth. If you use light cloth and follow the directions VERY little weight is added, far less than glass and epoxy. A very large majority evaporates, requiring many coats to fill in the weave of even 1/2oz cloth.

Just remember to brush on a coat before light sanding and application of the cloth. The cloth will add quite a strong layer to the plane before painting.
