Glad that you got it workin' again! Are you going to attempt to download the update again and copy it to your Tx? Especially now that you know how to get the old firmware functioning?

Re: DX8 Bricked ?

Yes, I'm gonna backup my model memories and try again and report back on the outcome

Edit : Just tried the 2.04 firmware and it bricks the transmitter every time. It will not let me update. Flashing to 2.01 brings it back to life. Gonna email Horizon and see what they tell me.

Re: DX8 Bricked ?

I stood up for spektrum for 3 years. That piece of ---- DX7 lost bind mid-flight 3 times and destroyed my planes. If you think its so good, buy mine then. 2 AR7000 recievers go with it. Give me an offer.

Re: DX8 Bricked ?

Uhh, I bought it 3 years ago I belive at redline hobbies in Regina, SK. Its not scratched up or anything, but where the antenna swivels right before it goes into the transmitter, its cracked, but all range checks are good, and seems the crack is just the plastic casing around the antenna wire. However, I fully understand that its still cracked, so shoot me an offer for the radio and the 2 recievers, and maybe we could work something out!

Re: DX8 Bricked ?

Keep in mind, the crack is NOT in the transmitter itself, its in the antenna. I belive to replace the antenna its around 30 bucks. Transmitter was 400 bucks, and 2 recievers were 130 a piece. So shoot me an offer, and ill ship it as far away from me as I can lol

Re: DX8 Bricked ?

What the hell were you smoking when you paid $400 for a DX7 ($180 - $200) and $130 ea. for Ar7000 ($89). Unbelievable!

A brand new DX7s with an AR8000 is $299.

Ha ha... you have never been to one of our Sask hobby shops then, they are always on the pricey side.

I purchased a TT .40 Pro from a member, NIB, that was purchased from the hobby store in Toontown.... the price on the box is tagged at 174.95, I sure as hell never paid anything close to that!

If you are going to scrap it, ship it to me with the receivers if any, I am starting a club for needy kids in my area, at no cost to them. All comes out of my pockets for now. I will pay for the shipping. PM me, thanks

No I haven't but it doesn't take a genius to go to the G.H. web site and get a feel for the price of things. It is very hard to believe that this guy paid $400 for a DX7 transmitter. That's all I am saying.

Anyway I'am out of here as this is going in a direction that has nothing to do with helping NinjaToes.

Merry Christmas to all.
