Next up was to make and install all the cowl mounting block that cowl will be attached to .

Made up the templates for drilling cowl.

Next up was to make a spacer to help with aligning the cowl and spinner.
I used a piece of 1/8 ply.
Then slid the cowl on, installed the spinner back plate and lined everything up and taped it all in place

And here is the cowl all drilled, and screwed on Shims and tape removed.

That is a freakin big spinner

So... tomorrow will be trimming and mounting the wheel pants.
Then the lower wings have a skirt that goes around the lower wing where it attaches to the fuselage. Need to fit and trim those pieces.

Then I can deliver everything on Monday to go to the painter.

WOW!! I just got a sense of how big that plane is!! I pretty much know that spinner inside and out now and no i can see how big the cowl is behind it... HOLY!!

The cowl is 18 inches wide across the top. But its not that thick top to bottom
