RCscrewz kits

Just got one today for my Savage 21. I am half way in to the replacement but something just doesnt seem right. It dont seem like all the screws are there for a complete replacement. ie no knuckle pins ( i think )
also will the machine screw have the hold that the course screw had, or will this now be a weak spot. And believe me i dont need any weak spots i just finish bashing only to see that I snaped off 2 shock bodies about half way up . Has anyone used this kit if so how did it turn out for you??

I bought 2 full sets of rcscrewz for my Kyosho Kanai 2 and 3 and found the screws where not very good quality. I eneded up selling one and just keeping one around that I never use!.

I've got a set that I ran on my Savage all last summer. The only two problem's I encountered was the shock screw was way to weak and just bent after a large drop and the other issue was the screws coming loose... hmm, maybe that was my fault for not putting on enough threadlock...

Other than that, I thought the kit was great. As for the shoulder screws, they don't come with them cause it's a fairly specialized screw, not something any hardware place would normally stock. Other than that, enjoy the allen heads, they are a 100 times better than the philips that the truck comes with stock.

there is a guy on savage-central that sells screw sets... they're apparently the best screws you can get for the savage...

Better yet, hit up brafasco and get the sizes you really need. That's what I'm going to do for the upcoming season.

The screws I got are of high quality and very nice, the only thing I really see as a problem is thet there is no course thread screw they are all fine.??? To me putting a fine thread screw into a hole that a course thread screw came out of is asking for trouble. But I may be wrong the plastic / composite material that the truck is made out of may be that good

you might want to check out
http://webservices.advanceware.net/hexcrews/(5kdakq3onvirnc3jyr33xz55)/Home.aspx ( all grade 12.9 metal)

or http://www.tony1034.com/ ( grade 12.9 and 10.9 metal )

I've only heard good things with their quality on other boards.

about the fine thread screws... they actually hold better and don't strip as easily... whenever i have to replace coarse screws, i replace them with fine thread...
