40% Pilot Yak 5-6 lb's Lighter

Started to setup my spare Pilot Yak, Going with my trusty DA 150 instead of ZDZ 210 and will use standard cans, That will save me 4 lb's, I'll be using 4 ail. servos instead 6 and 2 ele. servos compared to 4, that will save another lb.

Some small items, like no pilot less batt and wiring, and less prop 32-12 three blade going to 32-10 two blade, so 5 lb's defiantly hoping for 6lb's

This is a huge plane, the wing loading should be awesome

With my ZDZ overall weight is 48 lb's. So a DA 150 will be good for power to weight at 42-43 lb's

Even better! We won't have to sleep on it (hibernate), to get results.
Go-Hank-Go.

Re: 40% Pilot Yak 5-6 lb's Lighter

Thanks for the inspiration Dale, Got the ele. ail. and throttle servos in and covering tightened up.

Fire wall in, and I opened up the cowel intake cooling, I find it kinda small, and hey, I knocked off more weight LOL.

I like the twin fibreglass twin horns in this ARF, they get epoxied in.

I sure hope the weather is good in the east, for you Hank.
Let us know how it feels compared to your ZDZ 210 job.

Today will be 6 degrees and sunny, yesterday we had some snow, Monday will be 11 go figure.
Good enough to get out there.

Go hard, (to hell with good luck) enjoy the day. Video would be great a photo, with you and your Yak is always welcome. Capture the smile, for all to see.
