Re: Resurrect Arrow 1/8 scale

Today was the first good day of decent weather, so I took the wings outside to work on.

The wings are glassed, and now I'm working on getting the finish up.

Re: Resurrect Arrow 1/8 scale

Some recent turn of events might see the end of my not finishing this giant Arrow.
It's going to be up for sale.

Smile Re: Resurrect Arrow 1/8 scale

The Arrow has been repaired (mostly to the rudder) and a new set of "FIX" gear made for the wing's. The turbine was pulled out and jamed into my "BoomerXL" which I am now flying just to get some "Jet time". Will problably try the arrow after I get some more "stick time". Will let you know when it fly's Brad "Maddog" Metcalf

Glad to hear that the resurrection of the arrow project isn't ending the same way that the original arrow project did
What about Mike's? Is he finishing it or did it get sold? What about the other 3 that were made (there were 5 in total weren't there?)

Re: Resurrect Arrow 1/8 scale

OK Guys,
I have been watching this build for over a year now and I'd really like to know what became of these six Arrows - or at least one of them.

Have any of them successfully flown?
Are there any videos? Stories of tragedy?

So much work went into them, so many of us watched with admiration - I'd like to know the outcome of all that hard work.

Re: Resurrect Arrow 1/8 scale

bbbair Believe it or not I was going to fly the arrow last Sunday but on Sat ,I was putting my P-160 back into the arrow and she would not start . The ECU had burned out. (been sented to JetCat for repair) There were only 4 fuse's (ARROW) made from the moulds Before Mike sold the moulds. I will try to fly as soon as I get a new ECU or the old one repaired. The Arrow has been ready to fly (less turbine) early in the spring. I have been flying a "Boomer XL" with the P-160se all summer. Will keep you posted. Brad "Maddog" Metcalf

Re: Resurrect Arrow 1/8 scale

I have several planes in my basement that I am "going to get back to"... one of these days... So I understand the concept...

But you just have to understand how deeply this project has touched so many of us out in the Canadain RC world... we want (need) to see these birds fly.

I look forward to seeing the reports/videos/ comments of your adventures.
