Which is the best flight sim for practicing 3D . (torque rolling etc.)? I am particularly interested in realistic performance to practice 3D airplane manouvers.

I find the physics of G3 to be the best. As far as helicopters go, G3 is totally the best.

I have the Aerofly Pro Deluxe and find the 3D flying to be good. I can't comment on which one is the best because I have only tried the Aerofly and the G2. BTW, the G2 would not be good for 3D.

I'm with Jake and Big Guy on this one. Aerofly Pro Deluxe gets my vote!

G3 is a very good flightsim as well, but my personal preference is for AFPD!

As with all these programs, just make sure your processor & graphics card will support them. And you want to have more computing power than the bare minimum requirements for your particular Flightsim!

Nothing worse than choppy graphics!!

anyone tried the new phoenix sim?

there is a downloadable demo on their web site.

http://www.phoenix-sim.com/

I've had realflight and AFPD. Like AFPD far more than realflight....

the phoenix demo looks best of all IMHO, but haven't tried it, so cannot comment on the physics.

I have the Phoenix sim and absolutely love it . Great physics, beautiful graphics with all real photofield backgrounds make it very realistic. And best of all, free downloads off of their website. Nothing else to buy. You have to use your own contoller and specify which one you will be using when you order so you get the right dongle.
