I personaly owned the GP Flatana with the Rim Fire motor and it has awsome performences !! For batteries I have a 11.1v 700 mah li-po.
As charger...its the HObbico elite charger ..Electron 6 chanel...Blue Bird servos..

Got everything except the charger for about 350 $$ the charger worth 200 $..

With my 700 mah i can get easyli 10 min of flying...i think so

My friend crashed my flatana so last week I ordered the Edge 540 Red Bull from Great Hobbies !

You cant go wrong with the flatouts...Its a pure 3d machine...(except the flatana could have more rolls rat..)

The flight pack looks like a steal. Put the two 55's on the aileron and elev and the dragonfly on the rudder.
Just my opinion but if you go with the stock motor on the tribute you will need a non-brushless speed controller. Then when you want to upgrade you will need to buy a brushless controler. Short term you get a plane and motor but long term you will have to replace these items. For the added preformance of brushless I would go that route right of the bat. But sometimes you just have to make the best out of your budget.

I just purchased my first motor/controller combo from here.

When doing so, you can save altot on your CC 25. Works great in my Yak 54. Hover at 1/2 throttle.

Depends on motor, plane and controller you intend to use.
I wouldn't buy them, Lithium is the way to go.
I purchased from Hobby-Wholesale a HE Cell Lipoly 1500mAh 3s1p pack with ultra deans connector for $41.99 can....no duty or shipping charges, and only GST.
Light and good for 10C discharge...15min flight with AXI 2212/26 11 X 4.7 APC.

NO those batteries are to heavy. While you MAY get the plane off the ground that would be about it. TO be able to 3d or even do a loop you need lithium polymer battery for foamies. The trick to performance is wing loading. The lower the better. Li-poly batteries offer longer sustained power delivery at about 1/4 the weight of nickel metal batteries.
