What plane do I have???
Hi All,
Below is a photo of my new-to-me 84" wingspan plane. But... I don't know what it is... The wings seem to be solid foam(??) skinned with thin ply. The plane seems to have been rebuilt a couple times, and this will be its 3rd... I will be posting questions about the build, either here, or in the ARF section. I am putting a DLE55 into it, and am about to put in the plumbing! Thanks! Sean |

Wellll... from that one photo it is difficult...
BUT! It sort of looks like an Extra 300... Maybe.

Edge 540, the route rib and leading edge looks to be at 90 degrees.

Hi All,
Adding another couple of pictures. I have done some Googling of planes, and, yes I agree that it looks like an Edge 540. (single) But I still don't have a manufacturer. From the looks of it, it is an OLD plane. I got the DLE55 mounted, and can get the cowling to fit. My muffler broke in the crash of the last plane and that is the next thing that I need... When I get a new muffler, I'll do a final trim and fit. Thank you! Sean |

Looks like an Edge 540 as the leading edge of the wings appear to be straight across with no taper.
