Re: Multiplex easystar 2

WOW! Fancy that. Second RCcanuck video I see from a search on the Web. Indeed! Nice paint job. Curiousity, what kind of paint did you use? Any special prep? Did you use a spray can, an HVLP, or an air brush? Perhaps it's because it's winter ... but I'd have to agree with the YouTube comment about painting the under carriage.

Re: Multiplex easystar 2

I used Testors spray paint. It doesnt eat epp. No prep required...just spray a few light coats. Used the thin green paint tape to mask off the areas that I didnt want paint on. I did end up taking some red and yellow thin duct tape and cut some strips and put them under the wings....Looks great now...stands out when its in the air. Had to do it...with grey skies...you cant see it at all.

Re: Multiplex easystar 2

Thanks for that. I've been searching about the Easy Star because it was suggested as a good starter model and good for FPV too.

When you mentioned duct tape, foil tape came to mind but, I'm wondering if that might cause radio interference. I guess a few strips wouldn't be a big issue.

Re: Multiplex easystar 2

My brother has the Bixler....basically the same glider. Half the price. Think his came with the motor and servos allready installed. Flies exactly the same. Ya...a few strips of duct tape...isnt alot of weight...I was just to lazy to buy some more Testors and mask and spray it. Its a fun little glider. Ill be teaching my son to fly on it this summer.
