the stock 4.6 will do 44 mph but only with proper tuning and 30% nitro it says on my box too plus on the savage 25 the stock tires are so heavy that if u do big jums alot u are asking for diff problems i do big jumps with my 4.6 and i havent broken one internal part...yet!!! lol i am still trying though the dirt bones tires are alot lighter and don't balloon nearly as much as the stockers on the S-25

My maxx will kill the savage! But yea gearing, motor and weight play big in this. I'm surprized kev' isn't here in this thread with the jato and OS 18TM! Traxxas' fastest offroad, onroad truck

I have not had a T max or savage but I do have a stalker radar gun . To this day I have yet to see either one hit 40 mph in stock form. It is probably possible, but it has been my experience with most cars or trucks , that manufacturers write wildly optimistic claims on the box. I would like to see one of these trucks properly broken in and tuned do 40mph plus out of the box.
